UDHAMPUR, June 22: A pedestrian was knocked to death by a speeding mini bus at Battal Ballian, here today.
The deceased was identified as Brahma Anand (21), son of Jeewan Raj of Kharoudiy (Battal Ballian) Udhampur. He was hit by a minibus JK14A-5558, at Battal Ballian road Udhampur while walking on the roadside. Some locals rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where he was declared as brought dead.
Driver of the minibus fled the scene immediately after the accident while Police has registered a case FIR number 280/17, under section 279/304-A RPC, in this connection.
