‘Make in India’ possible only with more MSME units: Kalraj

NEW DELHI, June 27:
Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises  Kalraj Mishra today said that the’Make in India’ objective could come to fruitition only when there was a hub of small manufacturing units all over the nation giving employment to lakhs of jobless.
United Nations Organisation has declared Tuesday as MSME Day.  The Minister said that UNO itself declared today as international MSME day and it was the fruit of consistent efforts made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ”It’s a matter of pride,” said the Minister.
On the occasion, an MoU was also signed between SAP India, Intel and HMT and Digital MSME scheme was also launched. Besides, the Minister also presented awards to entrepreneurs for their outstanding performance in their respective fields of business.
Mr Mishra said that during the past three years more than 12 lakh jobs were generated and a large number of new MSME units were set up across the nation.
The Minister observed that the previous dispensation had no vision about MSME which subsequently failed to take off in remote and rural areas.
He added, ”Our BJP-led Government framed policies to benefit maximum number of people, especially poor.”  (UNI)
