Frame policy for border residents, construct bunkers: Jan

POONCH, June 27: Provincial President Youth National Conference Ajaz Jan expressed concern over the plight of border residents due to massive shelling from across the border.
In a statement, Jan said that the shelling has cost colossal damage in forward areas of Kami, Qosba, Guntrya, Mandhar Shapur, Degwar, Khari Karmara, Maldaliya,Degwar Terwa and Dera Bagal and the people are feeling scared.
He asked the State and Central Government to frame a concrete policy and implement its decision of construction of bunkers.
Jan regretted that the present Government has not taken any initiative about creating bunkers or shelter sheds for safe lodging of the border sufferers in the event of exigencies. He said the administration lack proper wherewithal to meet the challenges in the wake of shelling and at times the injured are not able to reach hospitals for timely medical attention.
Jan urged the State Government and the district administration to realize its responsibilities and take all necessary measure to face challenges unfolded by frequent border shelling.
