Omar visits families of DySP Ayub, Haji Mustafa; seeks speedy justice

SRINAGAR, June 27:  National Conference working president Omar Abdullah today visited the residence of martyr DySP Muhammad Ayub Pandith at Nowpora, Khanyar and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family.
Paying glowing tributes to Late DySP Pandith, Omar Abdullah said the heinous crime was an onslaught against the basic tenets of humanity and Kashmiriyat and needs to be condemned unequivocally and unconditionally by every conscientious person. The NC working president was accompanied by NC Provincial President and former MoS Home, Nasir Aslam Wani. NC general secretary  Ali Mohd Sagar also visited the family and expressed his solidarity with them while praying for peace to the departed soul.

Omar Abdullah offered `Fateha’ for the departed soul and prayed for patience and strength for the family to bear this inconsolable and irreparable loss. Omar said he stood in solidarity with the family and would eagerly await swift action that would bring the perpetrators to book.
The NC working president had earlier announced a donation of Rs 10 lakhs to the Police Welfare Fund and a diversion of one-month’s salary as legislators to the fund as a contribution for the families of such brave martyrs of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Meanwhile,  Omar Abdullah also visited the residence of prominent businessman Haji Ghulam Mustafa, proprietor of famous handicrafts export-house, ‘Sunshine Alley’ of Dalgate.
Omar, who was accompanied by  Sagar and  Nasir Wani, paid glowing tributes to Haji Ghulam Mustafa and highlighted his immense contributions in promoting Kashmir’s handicrafts across the world.
Offering his condolences to the bereaved family, Omar Abdullah said the vacuum left with Haji Ghulam Mustafa’s demise would be hard to fill and that the deceased would be remembered for ages to come for his kindness and compassion.
