JAMMU, June 29: Bishnah police arrested a bootlegger along with five litres of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah police station conducted raid in village Kotli Charka and apprehended a bootlegger.
Police recovered five litres of illicit liquor from the house of the bootlegger, who has been identified as Roop Lal, son of Bihari Lal, a resident of Kotli Charka.
A case under FIR Number 137/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
