Copper, nickel strengthen on industrial demand

NEW DELHI, July 1:  Prices of copper and nickel strengthened by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on persistent buying by stockists on the back of rising demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased buying by stockists following rising demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market mainly kept copper and nickel prices higher.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) advanced by Rs 2 each to Rs 346 and Rs 792-802 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metals’ rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 100-106, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 792-802, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 346, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 92, lead imported Rs 98, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148. (PTI)
