Charming stories for children

This small Dogri book titled “Dadi Da Hirkh” by Shiv Dev Sushil  has some  interesting and informative stories for the children.

The Dogri literature, which is growing steadily in strength and stature, still needs  more books for children.

Tireless efforts are afoot by the writers to bridge this gap and come out with more literature specially suited for young  children.

Special Treatment

Mr. Sushil, recipient of  Sahitya Akademi award, have written this book to meet the special needs of youth for literature in their mother-tongue, Dogri.  Particular attention has to be paid to the subject matter catering to the interest of lower age-groups, the simplicity of language, moral values and infusion of sense of patriotism.

The grand-parents, both paternal and maternal, have always played pivotal role in narrating bed-time stories and many a time shaped their moral standards of truth, universal brotherhood and respect for elders as also inculcating in them discipline, politeness and sense of service to the society.

More and more Dogri writer/poets must come forward with specially-designed and  suitable literature in Dogri for youth as well.
