Srinagar : A fierce gun battle is going between security forces and militants in South Kashmir since this morning after a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sameer Tiger, and his two associates were trapped in the village.
Security forces cordoned off village Bamnoo in Pulwama district this morning after they received information about presence of three militants including Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sameer Tiger, in the village.
Militants fired upon troops leading to an encounter in which one militant was killed so far.
