Farooq Andrabi meets TCL delegation to discuss ‘e-Edu, Tele-Medicine, Power Telecom’

 SRINAGAR: For the execution of new Power Telecommunication, Tele-Medicine, e-Education projects in the State Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Power, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Industries and Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today held a meeting with the delegates of Telecommunication Consultative India Limited (TCIL), Ministry of Communication, Government of India.

In their power point presentation, the delegation informed the Minister that TCIL has executed the project in more than 70 countries around the world besides India.

The Minister was informed that the initiatives like e-Education services, Tele-Medicine services by TCIL would greatly benefit general public of the State.

Giving brief about the services offered, the delegation said that “e-Education services” provided in remote areas of the State would benefit the coming generation. The delegation further informed that “Tele-Medicine services” shall provide medical consultancy in the remote areas that still lack proper facilities of good treatment for general public. It was further revealed that the “Power Telecommunication Development Project” will enable public to avail the facilities of proper telecom and power supplies in the State.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Government is taking all necessary steps for increasing the connectivity in the State and hoped that the comprehensive services of TCIL shall benefit the public in general.

Project Director, TCIL Rajeev Gupta accompanied by a team of Officers also gave a brief of enormous opportunities that can benefit the people of the State.

Among others, Managing Director, JK Power Development Corporation, Dr Shah Fasal, all Chief Engineers of different Wings of Power Development Department, Development Commissioner Power and other members of TCIL were present in the meeting.
