Three injured in accident

BHADERWAH, July 3: Three youth including a female were critically injured when two motorcycles collided head-on in Bhaderwah town of Doda district today. The victims were riding the motorcycles in high speed when the accident took place at Chakka Bridge on Hospital road, Bhaderwah, police said.
One of the bike riders was driving on the wrong side of the road and the other coming from opposite direction was reportedly very fast, they said.
The passerby immediately rushed all the four injured to Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah for treatment. The victims were not in a position to give statements to the police immediately.
Station House Officer Bhaderwah police station Jatinder Singh Sambyal, said the victims were breaking traffic rules. Reportedly both the bikers were over speeding and were not wearing helmets, he said adding police reached the spot within 15 minutes of the accident, thus allowing the paramedical staff to act quickly.
“A case vide FIR No 74/2017 under Sections 279,337 RPC has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and further investigation is going on,” SHO said.
The injured have been identified as Ikhlaq Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain, his sister Rifat Bano daughter of Mohd Hussain, resident of Chakka and Mohd Azim Dar Son of Mohd Iqbal Dar also residents of Chakka Bhaderwah.
Later, Ikhlaq Hussain and Mohd Azim were shifted to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
