8 injured in road accidents

UDHAMPUR, July 3: Eight persons were injured in road accidents across the district.
As per reports, three person received injuries, when the Maruti car they were travelling in was hit by a truck at DPS School here.
The injured have been identified as Parshotam Mahajan (55), son of Mir Chand Mahajan, Rakesh Kumar Khajuria (53), son of Kunj Bihari and his wife Punam Sharma, all residents of Udhampur.
In another incident, a woman received injuries, when the motorcycle she was riding on slipped near Dhar Road, here. The injured has been identified as Darshana Devi (50), wife of Dharam Pal, a resident of Chak Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a person identified as Som Raj, son of Shanker Dass of Tagan, Tehsil Ramnagar received injuries, when the motorcycle he was riding slipped near Dhar Road.
Two persons received injuries, when the bus they were travelling in met with accident near Jakheni.
The injured persons have been identified as Rajender Kumar (13), son of Bishan Dass of Jaganoo and Gulam Mohammed (36), son of Ibrahim of Bidla Ramnagar.
All the injured persons have been shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where they were responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Udhampur police station and investigation started.
