Brahma Kumaries organize Life Skill Education Programme

KATHUA, July 4:  The Brahma Kumaries Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya Kathua organized a week long Life Skill Education Programme here today under the guidance of B. K Veena, Director Brahma Kumaries Centres of Kathua District.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua was the chief guest in the Valedictory function which was held today in the Brahma Kumari Centre Kathua.
Prof. Dhian Singh was the guest of honour on the occasion while Sardar Tajinder Singh, Principal (retd.), Kunti Kumar Sharma, BDO (retd) and Narinder Tangri were the other special guests on the occasion.
B.K. Veena, Director, Brahma Kumaries centres of Kathua District while speaking on the occasion apprised that this is the second Life Skill Education Programme undertaken by the organization with the assistance of Union Ministry of Youth Affairs in which about 40 youth participated. The trainees were imparted practical training on moral values, positive thinking besides sensitizing them on the harmful effects of smoking and drug abuse. She added that earlier a National Integration Camp was undertaken by the organization at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Gurugram, New Delhi.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua while speaking on the occasion appreciated the conduction of the training programme and hoped  that the organization will continue with its noble work in future also. The trainees on the occasion presented a variety of educational and cultural programmes.
