DODA, July 5: Eight persons received injuries, when the Tata Sumo they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge Draie area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandoh police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-6298, was on its way from Gandoh to Draie Chansar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into 100 feet deep gorge at Draie, resulting into injuries to 8 persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Gandoh with the help of locals, where they were responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Manisha Devi (22), daughter of Uttam Singh of Chounary, Mohdamma Ismail (60), son of Allah Dita, Reshma Begum (37), wife of Mohammad Yaqoob, Mohammad Yaqoob (45), son of Mohammad Ismail and Sakina Begum (60), wife of Mohammad Ismail, all residents of Kansar and Bimla Devi (50), wife of Bishan Lal, Vijay Kumar (28), son of Bishan Lal and Mega Manhas (10), daughter of Anil Kumar, trio residents of Chansar.
A case in this regard has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
