Harbah festival celebrated with religious fervor

JAMMU, July 5: Harbah festival was celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm today. In this connection various functions were organized by different organizations at Jammu and Najab Garh Delhi.
The main function was organized by Prabandhk Committee Sedhlakshmi Peeth Tirath Raj Lokbhawan, Anantnag camp Durganagar at newly constructed temple at Sector 2 Durga Nagar where a replica of the Lokbhawan temple has been constructed by the Committee last year.
A large number of devotees attended the function and paid obeisance to Goddess Sedhlakshmi.
On the occasion annual Maha Yagya was also solemnized by the Prabandhk Committee. The Yagya started yesterday evening and concluded with Puranahuti today. The devotees were served with prashad after Puranahuti.
The handout issue d by the Committee said that the annual Hwan on this day was performed at the original shrine at Lokbhawan every year but due to the prevailing unrest in Kashmir this year’s hawan was simonized here.
The Bhajan Kirtan by devotees continued during the day. The Maha Yagya started yesterday evening under the supervision of Makhan Lal Pandita and Sammer Ji and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon. This was followed by flag hoisting and serving of prashad to devotees.
Besides the temple, it has initiated the construction of a community hall, a pooja hall and hawan shalla in the temple premises, said Committee chairman, P N Raina and its president M K Raina.
Another function was organized by Shri Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Trust Laxmi Puram Chinore at its Ashram at Chinore Bantalab and Najab Garh Delhi today.
The devotees who had come from far off places participated in Pushp Archana and other religious activities. The Flag hoisting was held in the afternoon by Moti Lal Bramchari and Janki Nath Ji of Swami Kumar Ji Ashram. The function culminated with serving of prashad to devotees.
