PUNE, July 12:
Crime Patrol fame actress Pooja Jadhav was arrested by Bhosari police, for threatening to file a fake complaint of rape against a businessman, police said here today.
She had trapped the businessman and was extorting money by threatening him to lodge a rape case against him. But the businessman had approached police and they arrested her.
She has also duped many people with the help of two others. Police have appealed to the people to contact them in case she has played the same trick with anybody.
Talking, senior police inspector Dilip Kulkarni of Bhosari Police said these suspects used to first collect information about their targets. Then, they would contact them on the phone.
After making acquaintance, the accused used to start blackmailing the victims for money.
Three people have been arrested so far in this connection and a search was on for two others, he said. (UNI)
