JAMMU, July 12: Bishnah police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Bishnah police station laid a naka near Deoli and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02BM-4185.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from the dickey of the scooty and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of Pritam Singh, a resident of Deoli.
The man was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for selling among the masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 146/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
