PM inducts seven Cabinet ministers in expansion

NEW DELHI, Oct 28: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expanded his Council of Ministers inducting seven new Cabinet Ministers including former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan.
Others who were sworn in the Cabinet were former Ministers of State Dinshaw J Patel, Ajay Maken, Mangapati Pallam Raju, Ashwani Kumar and Harish Rawat. Mrs Chandresh Kumari Katoch was the lone new face among Cabinet entrants.
Those who have been brought in as Ministers of State with Independent charge include Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari, Telugu actor-turned-MP K Chiranjeevi and former Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor.
The Ministers of State with Independent charge sworn in also include Kodikunnil Suresh and Tariq Anwar from the Nationalist Congress Party.
The first time Ministers of State are K Jaya Suryaprakash Reddy, Ms Rani Narah, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, Abu Haseen Khan Chaudhary, Sarvey Satyanarayana, Ms Deepa Dasmunshi, Porika Balaram Naik, Dr Killi Krupa Rani, Lalchand Kataria and Ninog Ering.
