SRINAGAR July 17: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar inaugurated one day Bangus Festival in Bangus valley which is situated ten thousand feet above sea Level popularly known as land of meadows
This Festival was organised by The Bangus Valley Development Youth Forum who had invited BJP Legislator to be the chief guest on the occasion and was attended by thousands of residents predominantly young and youth who live in Bangus and nearby villages adjoining Handwara, Kupwara, Langet, Rajwar, Karnah and many more adjoining areas.
Ambardar while addressing the gathering said “this land of meadows called Bangus is one of the pristine and picturesque destination not only in our State but entire country and as I was told this by far is the most beautiful land of meadows in entire Asia. However due to the apathy shown by previous governments this destination has not got its due and it is only after BJP formed it’s Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the hopes of this region have taken a new stride that there will be development of this Valley”, he added
BJP Legislator also spoke about the resolve which the party has taken to take the State on development. This can be borne from the recent statement of Prime Minister wherein tourism of our State has been made as the thrust area of development agenda. He assured the large gathering who had come walking on foot for three to four hours to reach to the venue that he will raise their concerns with the government at various levels and I have already raised their concerns umpteen times in Assembly sessions
Law maker also announced 25 ECO Friendly toilets which will be installed at Bangus Valley out of his CDF and will be arranging solar lights for all the inhabitants who live in and around Bangus Valley which will lessen their woes to a greater level, he added.
There was a huge participation of youth and young people from all the nearby villages who also showcased their talent by participating in different sports events at the festival.
