JAMMU, July 17: Maintai-ning that people in the modern age are mostly dependent on internet and mobile phones, Vice chairperson J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Balbir Ram Rattan said this technology is now used by the people of all age groups.
Interacting with a SC loanee, Sunil Sarmal, who has availed a loan of Rs two lakh from Corporation and set up his earning unit of sale & repair of mobiles at Channi Himmat, Jammu, Balbir said that this revolution has led to flooding in of markets with new brands, smart phones and android, which is found in every house hold these days. Due to its increased demand and extensive use at all levels, the mobile phones, no matter of superior quality too develop technical snags, for which there are now huge number of repair shops in market.
“As the number of mobile users have increased, so have the number of phones with some technical defects increased, which offered the job opportunities to people with some technical knowhow”, Balbir said. If some attention is paid towards this, it can prove to be beneficial to many aspiring youth to open up small shops like this one as the sale and repair of mobiles is fast flourishing and in huge demand these days in not just cities but also in rural areas, where in fact there is much more need for such repair outlets. He said that these steps can help solve problem of unemployment and create avenues for earning to aspiring youth.
