REASI, July 17: Police foiled attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued eight animals besides arresting two accused persons in this connection at Chassana, here today.
Acting on specific information, a police team headed by Incharge PP Tulli Banna, under the supervision of SDPO Mahore, laid a naka at Tulli in l Chassana and rescued eight bovine animals from the possession of Mohd Jamil of Dandote, tehsil Budhal, district Rajouri and Gulzar Hussain of Majrakund, Chassana, Reasi.
The accused persons were carrying these bovine animals without any legal documents. They intended to smuggle these bovine animals towards Kashmir.
The accused persons have been arrested and in this connection, case FIR No. 39/2017 U/S 188 RPC was registered at P/S Chassana.
