The protesting PPEU members alleged that the electrification system laid down by the IRCON under APDRP is total failure, as many problems are being faced by the public while due to these works, there is extra burden on PDD employees and they are being harassed.
The union members also demanded cancellation of attachment of employees of Green Belt Sub Division and reinstatement of Feeder Manager, Koushal Sharma, who was put under suspension without any reason or fault.
They said that the protest will continue daily from 10 am to 2 pm and no employee will work for system maintenance, restoration as well as bill distribution till their demands are fulfilled. The union also decided not to cooperate with M/s IRCON for allowing shutdown and other works at district level. “In case of power system failure, the administration will be responsible”, they added.
The union also demanded full security of PDD employees, particularly field employees in any circumstances.
