DFSS takes out procession against ration scarcity

JAMMU, July 19: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of its president Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city against the non availability of ration since past 6 months which has generated lot of public resentment among the people of the area.
To highlight the alleged negligence, irregularities and irresponsible attitude in making the proper ration distribution and keeping the genuine BPL card holders away from their allotted ration quota, a large number of registered consumers held a protest demonstration against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department under the leadership of  Ashok Gupta.
He lambasted the authorities for unpopular and non-friendly CAPD policies over ration distribution. He said that ration is the basic need of each and every individual and no hard and fast rules should be put for issuing ration cards.
He demanded that fresh ration cards should be given on the basis of identity cards like voter cards and Aadhar cards also. He said that by present ration policy the public is facing hardships and high handedness of authorities are make life of people miserable.
“We have not seen kerosene since last six months. The supply has been stopped and poor people have been made to face difficulties”, he added.
He demanded 30 litres kerosene be allotted to per ration card and 10 kg Atta per member per month. He also demanded inclusion of edible oil, sugar, salt, pulses  vegetables, LPG and Kerosene Oil in the NFSA.
