SRINAGAR, July 21: Lashing out at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for neglecting Dooru, Verinag on every front, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief GA Mir today said that CM is desperate to see her inaugural plates on incomplete projects, rather than ensuing overall development of the State. She seems more interested in inaugurating incomplete projects inorder to demonstrate her Govt’s performance, which has remained quite unsatisfactory.
Commenting on Modern Hospital Dooru, which is yet to be completed, Mir said CM is inaugurating the incomplete Modern Hospital in the SDH Dooru tomorrow, as reported, which was constructed with a vision to ensure every Medical facility to people under one roof, so that they may not have to go to SKIMS for treatment besides that this Modern Hospital would also accommodate the patients of entire Dooru in Verinag and the people living in Banihal, Ramban and other adjacent areas.
Mehbooba Mufti seems hell bent upon to inaugurate the Modern Hospital in SDH building, which is not the substitute building of Modern Hospital. “What is the fun of this inauguration ceremony, when Modern Hospital is still incomplete ?” Mir questioned.
He said people of Dooru- Shahbad have also realized that Chief Minister is desperate to see her inaugural name plates of incomplete projects to divert the attention of the people and Centre Govt from her failures, He said the developmental process not only in Dooru, but in the entire State has come to standstill, as a result, State is lagging behind in every respect.
Citing example of many important projects which are not being cleared so far, he said Women College Verinag, Engineering College at Shahbad Dooru, Mini Secretariat, Dooru and all tourist projects including Cable Car Project and other similar important projects, sanctioned by previous Govt, which were also in tendering process were deferred on political lines, which is very unfortunate and disgusting on the part of PDP- led ruling dispensation in the State.
PCC chief advised the Chief Minister to concentrate on the development of the State rather than laying foundation stones and inaugurating incomplete projects.
