SRINAGAR, July 21: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review the directions of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti which she made on July 19 during her visit to variouis part of Srinagar.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director ERA, VC SDA &LAWDA, Chief Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), MD J&K Housing Board, DGM JKPCC, Deputy Director Tourism, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Director Health Services, Medical Superintendent JLNM Hospital, representative from Traffic Department and other concerned officers were present in this meeting.
Div Com directed I&FC officials to start the work within ten days for the beautification work for Sarband Water storage tank at Harwan. He also directed Tourism Department to submit a DPR within two weeks for the development of banks of local streams of Harwan where fishing and walking activities would be explored.
Khan asked JKPCC officers to work in double shifts for the completion of Women Degree College Zakura before the starting of new session in March 2018.
He directed Health Department to start the construction work of the additional block of JLNM Hospital immediately so that it would cater the huge rush of patents.
Div Com asked LAWDA to speed up the pace of work of dredging in the Brarinambal and start the work on the development of park adjacent at the Baba-Demb.
Similarly, Khan directed JK Housing Board for early completion of work on auditorium of Teacher’s Bhavan and start the work on the construction for accommodation for displaced families at Rakhe-e-Gund Aksha. He also directed R&B and SDA to start the development of park on the 1.5 km stretch along National Highway upto Bemina Bypass.
For flood protection, Khan asked I&FC to submit a DPR at Soibugh village while working on the flood management programme of Padshahi Bagh.
Div Com directed ERA to work in double shifts for the completion of Rambagh Flyover in a stipulated time frame.
