JAMMU, July 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh have reviewed Rs 80,000 crores worth Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) for Jammu and Kashmir in separate meetings.
They also discussed other issues pertaining to J&K including political situation and tensions along Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan.
Several other issues of Jammu and Kashmir also came up for discussions in their separate meetings, sources said.
Meanwhile, Governor N N Vohra today met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed with him various issues concerning the State, including security to Amarnath pilgrims, officials said.
During the 20-minute meeting, the Governor apprised Singh about the prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley and the steps taken for restoring normalcy there.
Vohra also briefed Singh about the steps taken for the security of Amarnath pilgrims in the wake of the July 10 terrorists attack in which eight pilgrims were killed, the officials of the Home Ministry said.
