Freight rates decline for select centres

NEW DELHI, July 22:  Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following excess position of trucks amid restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said large availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements, led to the decline in freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore and Puducherry moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 80,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 65,000.
Rates to Mysore, Chandigarh and Pune also went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 63,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 26,000.
