Two-day Emergency Room Trauma Course concludes

JAMMU, July 22: Two-day Emergency Room Trauma Course concluded today here at Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar.
The course was jointly organized by Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu and International Committee of Red Cross.
During the course, 14 doctors from GMC Jammu and six doctors from DHS Jammu were given specialized training regarding management of trauma patients in the emergency.
The valedictory function was organized today, wherein, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, distributed certificates among the participants of the course. While speaking on the occasion, Bhagat said that trauma has become the major cause of death and disability in the present times and all doctors managing trauma should have such courses for better management of trauma patients.
The training was conducted by Dr Kailash Singh and Dr Sanjay Sharma from GMC Jammu and Dr Anu Manhas and Dr Parvesh Chalotra from DHS Jammu. They were facilitated by Manash Mohan from ICRC.
