SRINAGAR, July 22: The State Government today sanctioned ex-gratia relief in four militancy affected cases in the frontier district of Kupwara today, an official spokesperson said this evening. He said the District Magistrate (DM) Kupwara today convened a meeting of District Level Screening- Cum -Coordination Committee (DLSCC) to review the militancy related cases of various nature for grant of ex-gratia relief to affected families.
During the meeting, 35 cases of the different category were taken up for hearing, he said, adding three cases were settled. Total Rs 2 lakh were granted for ex-gratia relief in favour of two death cases. Also, in two cases compensate appointment was made.
