JAMMU , July 22: Kashmiri Pandits at an interaction session with newly appointed Relief Commissioner , M.L.Raina here, today which was organized by Mata Kheer Bhawani Committee put up a strong case for uniting the community
.”One Voice is required for perusing the major issues facing Kashmiri Pandit Community ,which was forced to migrate from Valley in 1989-90″,said the convener of Mata Kheer Bhawani Committee , Kiran Wattal in his welcome address.
The former DGP and Chief Vigilance Commissioner Kuldeep Khoda also exhorted on the community leadership to identify major issues facing it and project them in a united way before the authorities.
Senior Journalist, M K B Bangroo, while criticizing the multiplication organisations in Kashmiri Pandits suggested that the need of the hour is to create a Global organization of Pandits to address issues pertaining to culture, religion and future of the community.
The Relief Commissioner assured that he will try to do his best to mitigate the problems of migrants and also project them before the higher authorities.
Dr Agnishakher ,a prominent writer and convener of Panun Kashmir assured his full support to take the community cause unitedly.
He however expressed dismay over the functioning of the Relief Organization saying that it has earned a bad name and expressed the hope that Raina will streamline the system.
Those who also spoke on the occasion included Prof A.N.Sadhu, , M K Yogi (President NC Minority Cell), Rakesh Pardesi (general secretary PDP Minority Cell, T K Dhar of Jagti Camp, Hiralal Bhat JK Vichar Manch and Pintu Ji Pandita Chairman Global Solace B L Dhar a social activist.
Several journalists and artists were presented awards on the occasion. The included Bihari Kak a renowned artist of the State associated with Radio Sharda, Anil Bhat PTI Bereau Chief, Sunny Bhat, Special correspondent of Early Times, Sominder Koul Burueau Chief ANI ,Rajinder Tickoo of ETV and King C Bharti Special Correspondent of Earth News.
Among Prominent figures of the Community present on the occasion included Ashok Aima (VC Central University),A K Raina general Secretary of HASK, B L Bhat , a well known social activist, Kuldeep Raina of SVS, Ashok Kangan JKVM,T K Jagyasu,J L Pandita BJP displaced cell, M K Jalali Sharka Peeth,Rohit Handoo President KPIT Amith, Ashwani Bhat Dr Nakhasi , Dr R L Dhar, Nanna Ji Raina, Comrade Mohan Lal, Murar Ji Koul and Bharat Ji.
