POONCH, July 22: In a step towards customer awareness, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) showcased its strength of maintaining Quality and Quantity (Q&Q) at its retail outlets and one such programme was conducted at its Retail Outlet in Poonch city being run by J&K Police under name & style of ‘Police Pariwar Fuel Care’.
The customers of this retail outlet coming from various backgrounds were invited to witness the quality and quantity being delivered and were taught to check the two parameters themselves while purchasing fuel. The BPCL officials present on the occasion were Territory Manger-Retail, Rajesh Sharma, Assistant Manager-Sales, Sameer Qayoom and the Police Department was represented by SSP Poonch, Rajiv Pandey along with Deputy SP Dar Poonch, Mohan Sharma and other police officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Sameer Qayoom explained the ways and means of checking quality and quantity of fuel at retail outlets and also demonstrated the checks being conducted to ensure quality and quantity through a large screen displaying various procedures leading to customer satisfaction.
The customers were also shown the sealing mechanism in the dispensing units and the automation system interfacing of these dispensing units with ways and means to check the quality and quantity of product being delivered. More than 100 customers witnessed the awareness programme and were satisfied with the ways the knowledge about Q&Q was imparted.
Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manger (Retail), J&K, briefed the gathering that this initative of running police petrol pumps is of a unique character by which the income generated from these petrol pumps is being used for supporting the families of the martyrs of J&K police.
