JAMMU, July 23: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today assured the industrialists that all possible support would be provided to them in smooth transition to Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime so that they don’t face any difficulty in running their businesses.
The Minister said this while addressing a meeting convened to listen to the problems being faced by the industrialists in shifting to GST regime and sought their feedback for hassle-free implementation of the new tax regime in the State.
MLA, Sat Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Minister further said that every possible step would be taken to safeguard the interests of the industrialists under GST and appropriate action would be taken on their feedback. He asked the industrialists to deliberate upon the ways by which the industrialists dealing with different sectors get the benefit that they want in the new tax structure.
The Minister said the Government is making all out efforts to provide a conducive environment to foster industrial growth in the State and full assistance would be provided to the industrialists.
Chairman, Federation of Industries, Jammu Rajesh Jain, President Bari Brahmana Indus-tries Association Lalit Mahajan, President Samba Industries Association Vijay Aggarwal, President Kathua Industries Association Ajeet Bawa, General Secretary Kathua Industries Association Sandeep Mittal and representatives of other industrial associations were present in the meeting.
