Madan Lal inaugurates community hall

JAMMU, Oct 29: Member Parliament (MP) Jammu-Poonch constituency, Madan Lal Sharma today inaugurated community hall at village Patyari, block Khour.
While speaking, Madan Lal Sharma appealed for basic amenities for the inhabitants of the border villages. Sharma felt that the people residing in border villages are not benefited from the ongoing developmental schemes launched by Union Government. Lack of drinking water, power supply and poor road connectivity bears testimony to this fact, he added.
He directed the officers to ensure that these unprivileged people must be connected with developmental schemes to realize the mission of State and Central Government. He also directed the officers to make special projects for improving water, power and road connectivity.
Sharma also demanded compensation of the land acquired by Army with present market value, adding, that some people have not received rent or compensation for a long time and asked the Authority to immediately release rent or compensation whatever admissible to them.
He also ordered for immediate digging of a hand pump to meet out the immediate drinking water requirement of the people.
Among others present were Kuldeep Raj Verma, Vice Chairman for OBC, Retd Tehsildar Surjit Singh, Harbans Lal, etc.
