MLA inaugurates transformers, requests people to use LED bulbs

JAMMU, July 26: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) RS Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat toured villages Chohala and Dravtey and interacted with the villagers and listened to their grievances including developmental works.
During the tour, the MLA assessed the functioning of Agricultural Department under which “Basmati Village Project” has been started in the RS Pura constituency. He also inaugurated a 250 KV and 400 KV power distribution transformers at village Chohala.
Dr Bhagat also announced that a small link road will be soon macadamized from main road to onwards at village Chohala. He requested the local inhabitants to use of LED bulbs in place incandescent bulbs and avoid using electric heaters for cooking purpose.
The locals requested MLA that a community bathroom for females must be constructed in the village and Dr Gagan immediately directed the BDO RS Pura to complete the said demand within twenty working days.
Legislator further directed the REW to gear up their men and machinery in completing the entire project within stipulated time frame.
SHO RS Pura, BDO RS Pura, AEE, AE and JE of REW, concerned officers, BJP Mandal Pradhan RS Pura Natharam, Chotu Choudhary and many others were present on the occasion.
