KATRA, July 26: A pilgrim died after he fell from pony while on way back after paying obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, here this evening.
The deceased was identified as Sushil Trivedi, son of Ram Chandra Trivedi of Juna Shahar Badnager Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He fell from a pony, which he had hired from Bhawan upto Katra.
As the death of the deceased has taken place under suspicious circumstances, inquest proceedings U/S 174 Cr.PC have been initiated in this regard, informed SSP Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat.
Last month, two such incidents had taken place when the pilgrims died after falling from pony.
