JAMMU, July 26: Miran Sahib police arrested an absconding bootlegger, who was evading his arrest since long.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Chaman Lal, son of Tek Chand of Brij Nagar, tehsil RS Pura. He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 50/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act with police station Miran Sahib. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Rakwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
