POONCH, July 26: The police recovered 4 kg poppy straw from a truck and arrested two persons including driver of the vehicle at Behramgalla in Bafliaz area in Surankote Sub Division today.
The truck bearing registration No. PB03J/9733 was on way to Punjab from Kashmir via Mughal Road. Police party led by Incharge Police Post Behramgalla under the supervision of SHO Surankote Ajay Jamwal during naka on Mughal Road intercepted the truck and started its search.
During search of the vehicle, 4 kg Bukki was recovered from the driver’s cabin. Driver and his cleaner were arrested and a case under FIR No. 144/ 2017 was registered against them. They were identified as Amandeep, son of Bhajan Singh and Balbir Singh, son of Chaman Lal, resident of Machibara in Sangralla tehsil of Ludhiana . The police had started investigation.
