JAMMU, July 27: Police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested four drug addicts.
As per police sources, during patrolling, on seeing police cops, four youth sitting near a private school in the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station started running in different directions.
Stinking something fishy, the cops chased all the youth, intercepted them and during checking, recovered foil paper to be used to inhale heroin, cigarette packs and lighters.
During questioning, the youth admitted that they had consumed heroin.
The arrested youth have been identified as Deepak Gill, son of William Gill, Akash Plathia, son of Charan Dass, Ravi Kumar, son of Pritam Lal and Ishan, son of Kamal Jeet, all residents of RS Pura.
A case under relevant Sections of law has been registered against them at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Uday Wazir made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
