NEW DELHI, July 28: Lead futures traded 0.51 per cent lower at Rs 146 per kg today as participants cut down their holdings owing to slackened demand from battery makers in spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July month declined by 75 paise, or 0.51 per cent to Rs 146 per kg in business turnover of 1,468 lots.
The metal contract for August shed 50 paise, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 147.25 per kg in 292 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to fall in demand from battery makers in physical market led to fall in lead prices at futures trade. (PTI)
