JKFFA pays rich tributes to Shaheed Udham Singh

JAMMU, July 31: To commemorate the death anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh, J&K Freedom Fighters’ Association (JKFFA) paid tributes to the great revolutionary today. A function was organised at Dogra Shourya Sthal, Amphalla, which was attended by a large number of people.

Member Legislative Council, Advocate Ramesh Arora was the chief guest on the occasion.
Association president Ved Gandotra said Udham Singh, was a true patriot who fought against the British empire.
Speaking on the occasion, members said that Udham Singh was a real hero and an inspiration to thousands of revolutionaries who fought for the country’s freedom and today’s generation should study the freedom movement.
Speakers while throwing light on  the life history of Udham Singh, said he perturbed by the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh took oath to eliminate Gen Diar at any cost and went to London to execute his decision, unlike Kashmiri youth, who instigated by a few separatists and Pakistani agencies were bent upon killing their own countrymen.
Members paid candle light tributes to Udham Singh and observed two-minute silence on his memory.
They also remembered martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Maharani Laxmi Bai, Chander Shekhar Azad and all those who contributed to the freedom of India.
Prominent persons who spoke on the occasion include State president,  Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan, B.L Gupta, Tej Ram Dogra, Vijay Sharma, Davinder Singh, Pritam Sharma, Karnail Chand, Brij Mehra, Gajan Singh Khajuria and Jagjit Singh.
