JAMMU, July 31: One person was killed while two others were injured in a road mishap that occurred late last night in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, three persons suffered serious injuries when a bike bearing registration number JK02BF-7941 on which they were travelling, was hit by a rashly driven unknown vehicle at Gura Pattan, late last night.
He said that all the injured were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where one of them identified as Darvinder Singh son of Jot Singh, was declared as brought dead by the doctors. He said that condition of other two persons, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, is stable.
“Today after conducting postmortem the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and investigations started.
