Sir,
The NIA has performed an excellent job in the investigation of terror funding. The financial crime has been exposed. Whether the funds from Pakistan are being used to fuel unrest in the Valley has been throughly probed. Subsequently, it led to the arrest of seven separatists Hurriyat leaders. These separatists were allegedly receiving funds from their masters in Pakistan to carry out subversive activities in Kashmir. Hurriyat is the political face of militancy created by ISI of Pakistan. Connivance between Hurriyat and terror organisations operating in Kashmir was always suspected. NIA probe has confirmed it. All the arrested separatists will be dealt by the law of the land. Let nobody be spared. NIA has to be appreciated for it. The immediate fall out of these arrests was a bandh call in the Valley by Hurriyat.
The call was largely rejected by the common people and the response was poor. The delayed impact of these arrests can’t be predicted. It is speculated that the dynamics of militancy and terrorism may alter. Possibly, the recruitment for the home grown militants will not be sustainable.
The continuous oxygen supply of active or tacit support to the ongoing civil unrest and militancy may be snapped off. The economical strangehold will have an impact on stone pelters. The overt exhibition of fundamentalism will be curbed. State sponsored terrorism will receive a setback. It will possibly set the tone for a peaceful dialogue among all the stake-holders in entire Jammu and Kashmir. Let peace prevail in the Valley of Kashmir.
Yours etc….
