JAMMU, Aug 2: Panun Kashmir (PK) has  said that time has come for starting the de-radicalisation process in Kashmir valley where the 28 year long terrorism and radicalization has created a lot of destruction and devastation.
Talking to reporters here, today along with chairman  Political Affairs Committee of PK, Prof M L Raina and national spokesperson of the organisation, Vire-nder Raina, PK president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said the efforts of security forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism from J&K State deserves all praises and PK appreciates these efforts of valiant forces.

“The security grid that has been made operational for cleansing the Valley of the scourge of terror is doing an excellent work with the cooperation of Army, paramilitary forces and the JK Police,” he said, “It is heartening to note that the campaign is yielding the necessary results for which the peace loving society in Jammu and Kashmir was yearning since long”, he added.
Chrungoo said now the time has come to simultaneously start the process of de-radicalization of the Kashmir society and the recent NIA raids and investigations are a step in the right direction. The fight against the ‘dirty war’ in Kashmir needs to be taken to the logical conclusion and in this context, the steps taken have instilled confidence in the minds of Kashmiri Pandits who have been living in exile for the last three decades.
Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee (PAC) PK while reiterating the demand of separate homeland for seven lakh Hindus of Kashmir as per the historic Margdarshan Resolution of 1991, said it is opportune time when the Government should hold talks on the issue with Panun Kashmir.
Strongly advocating for abrogation of Article 370 granting special status to J&K State and creating a State within State, Raina said time is also ripe when the process for its abrogation be started. “The abrogation of Article 370 will  save the youth of Jammu from migration to other States for job”, he added.
It is this Article that has provided a constitutional mechanism to perpetuate the concept of secession in the J&K State and which justifies a psychological drift from the national mainstream giving rise to absurd theories of sub-nationalism in Kashmir, he added.
Virender Raina, national spokesperson, PK said that the coinage of the so-called Kashmiriat is a deliberate attempt to hoodwink the public opinion because of the fact that it actually delinks Kashmir from its glorious past, ancient history, civilization and the cultural tradition.
He said moreover, the people of Jammu, Ladakh and the community of Kashmiri Pandits have to do nothing with this facade of Kashmiriat as all of them owe their allegiance to the Indianness, Indian cultural ethos and the Indian Constitution. The grand design of Muslim precedence cannot be saddled upon the nationalist people in Jammu and Kashmir under the garb of Kashmiryat, he added.
