LOS ANGELES, Aug 5: Singer Neil Young has finally released the title song from his album ‘Hitchhiker’, which has seen the light of day after 40 years.
The 71-year-old musician had recorded the solo acoustic LP in a single session at Indigo Ranch Studios in Malibu in 1976.
Although most of the 10 songs, which includes the title number, which was a part of Young’s 2010 LP ‘Le Noise’ — eventually released in some format, the album never came out in a wholesome capacity, reported Billboard.
Now, ‘Hitchhiker’ will be finally out and will feature new post-production from Young’s recent collaborator John Hanlon.
The long-lost collection will release on September 8 and will also have previously unreleased songs “Hawaii” and “Give Me Strength” on it. (PTI)
