Manohar takes stock of people’s grievances

KATHUA, Aug 9: The escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that the State coalition as well as the Union Government have turned Nelsons’ eye towards public and now the people, who voted for BJP and its associates are feeling depressed.
This was stated by PCC general secretary Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while addressing workers meeting organised by Block Congress Committee Billawar at village Pajokay Chak. The District Congress Committee Kathua president and former MLC Subash Gupta and a large number of ex-Panches, ex-Sarpanches and other activists participated and raised various issues pertaining to their areas.
People apprised Dr Sharma about their sufferings caused due to non-availability of drinking water, unscheduled electricity cuts, delay in replacement of burnt transformers and absence of sugar and ration in sale depots, compensation for residential houses damaged due to heavy rain as also worst condition of roads. Public also accused the Government of rising corruption everywhere.
Dr Sharma said that the BJP partnered Government in the State and Modi’s Government at the Centre have utterly failed in all fronts of developmental activities, giving justice to common men, in generating employment opportunities, fight against terrorism and Pakistan sponsored proxy war, maintaining law and order including restoring peace in the State, keep check and control on crime on women and common men and control on price rise of almost all commodities in the country.
Former MLC Subash Gupta said that BJP and Modi’s Government is suppressing the genuine voice of the people of the country by attacking on opposition leaders and termed this act is great threat to Indian democracy and democratic values. Subash Gupta said that the attack on Sh Rahul Gandhi Vice President Indian Nation Congress in Gujarat by BJP leaders is highly condemnable, shameful, and undemocratic act in which BJP and its leadership is completely responsible. He said that such act reflects the thinking and vision of the party and their leadership to lead the country.
Prominent among others Naresh Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, ex-Sarpanch Surinder Singh, Anant Ram Dogra, Ramesh Kundal, Parveen Bhagat and many other were present on the occasion.
