SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review ROW (right on way) issues of 220 KV and 132 KV under-construction power transmission lines in the valley.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Deputy Director Planning, Chief Engineer, Systems & Operations wing, PDD and other concerned officers were present in the meeting while as Deputy Commissioners of Baramulla, Ganderbal and Bandipora participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting was informed that Zainakot-Alusteng-Mirbazar 220 KV, Wagoora-Budgaam-Zainakot 220 KV, Zainakot-Amargarh, Budgaam-Chadoora 132 KV, Badampora-Bandipora 132 KV and Pampore-Khrew 132 KV transmission lines are under construction. These lines have been sanctioned under PMRP 2005.
The Div Com directed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to send the revenue team immediately to the designated locations and complete the land acquisition process within 15 days so that the projects are completed on time.
He stressed the engineers of PDD to work with added zeal and in synergy with the concerned Deputy Commissioners so that the bottlenecks, if any other, in this project are removed immediately for the benefit of the local population.
