SAMBA, Aug 11: In a show of strength, a meeting of Congress delegates was held at Ramgarh under the leadership of Arun Sharma, here today.
Delegates from block Ramgarh, Vijaypur, Purmandal and Bari Brahmana participated in the meeting, which was presided over by Bharat Sharma, District Returning Officer, appointed by AICC for taking observation from the delegates and public of District Samba in context with the appointment of District, Block and Booth Level presidents and constitute the new committees.
A number of delegates and workers of four blocks recommended the name of Arun Sharma for the appointment as District president Samba keeping in view of his dedication, hard working and honesty. The delegates told the observer that Arun Sharma has rendered his services to the Congress party for more than 27 years and he was having quality of leadership, patience and co-operation.
Expressing his full faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Arun Sharma assured that he would continuously serve people and further strengthen the party. He urged the leadership that there was need of young leader and the appointment of District president should be keeping in view of service rendered as well as loyalty of the candidate to the Congress party.
AICC observer Bharat Sharma took note of the views of the delegates and informed that he would submit the report to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Madhu Sudan Mistry for further process.
