Medical negligence

Sir,
The negligent approach of the hospital authorities in Gorakhpur, which caused death of more than sixty children should be probed and the erring persons be punished at the earliest. How can the supply line of the oxygen be cut to the patients? Two professionals, one teacher and the other, the doctor were once called as godly or noble. But in the modern times these two professions have stooped so low that the death of a human is taken very lightly. And there are no checking authorities to the hospitals who can point out the loopholes in the hospitals. In Jammu and Kashmir, the health sector is no better. Doctors have become all materialistic. The private clinics have emerged offering various packages for the clinical and pathological tests. There are no guidelines from the government. In the Government hospitals, the patients try to move to other private clinics due to lack of infrastructure and life saving machines. Our politicians have only one work and that is to politicise everything in the name of religion, nationalism, regionalism etc. The basic health amenities of the patients are not seriously looked into.
Yours etc…
