JAMMU, Aug 14: State Vigilance Organization has registered a case against Brij Bhushan, the then Managing Director (MD) and other officers/ officials of J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation, Revenue Department and Attorney holder -Ashok Kumar, on the basis of verification conducted into the complaint alleging therein, that the officials of J&K Co-Operative Housing Corporation in connivance and criminal conspiracy with officers and officials of Revenue Department and private beneficiaries, have made double payments in respect of same land, thereby , causing loss to the J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation.
A verification conducted by Vigilance Organization revealed that J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation Jammu acquired land measuring 39 kanals 2 marlas for consideration of Rs 7,03,800 falling under Khasra No. 4 & 5 at village Sidhra, Jammu vide lease deed in perpetuity (for 99 years) dated 05.01.1994 from one Girdhari Lal and others through their attorney holder Ashok Kumar. The said attorney holder subsequently in the year 1999 again sold land measuring 20 kanals (out of the said leased out land) to one Mohd Sadiq.
The MD J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation Brij Bhushan vide sale deed dated 24.12.2002 registered on 28.01.2003 again purchased 20 kanals land for consideration of Rs 27 lakh from Mohd Sadiq, son of Nawab Din , resident of village Sidhra, Bye Pass, Jammu out of the same land which the Corporation had acquired by way of a lease deed dated 05.01.1994 and thereby causing loss to the J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation.
By acting in this manner, MD J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation and other officers/officials of the Corporation and Revenue Department, in connivance with each other and attorney holder Ashok Kumar, have abused their official position by purchasing land falling under khasra No. 4 & 5 Min twice fraudulently and thereby causing loss to the J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 30/2017 P/S VOJ has been registered in Vigilance Organization, Jammu u/s 5 (1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006 and Section 120-B, 420 RPC on the prima facie establishment of offences on the part of Brij Bhushan, MD and other officers/officials of J&K Co-operative Housing Corporation, Revenue Department and Attorney holder -Ashok Kumar.
