Cop killed, 4 hurt in road accidents

JAMMU, Aug 14:  A Police Constable was killed while four others were injured in two separate road accidents in Rajouri and Udhampur area today.
Official sources from Rajouri said that an Alto car No. JK-11A/6680 which was on way to Rajouri from Kandi, rolled down into nearly 50 feet deep gorge at  Mandir Galla this afternoon, resulting into the on spot death of Constable Mohd Shabir, son of Lal Din, resident of Bain Nambla ( Kotranka). The other cop was seriously injured. Identified as  Abdul Gafoor , son of Alam Din, resident of Morha, he was rushed to District Hospital,  Rajouri.  Both have been posted at Police Station,  Kandi (Kotranka).
Another report from Udhampur said that three persons were injured when a Swift  D’Zire car  ( JK08E/ 1956)  and bus (JK02BC/0255 ) collided  near  Bali Nalla on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today. The injured were removed to  Udhampur hospital.
They were identified as car driver, Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ahmed, resident of Bharat Nagar Udhampur, tourists – Shivani (26), wife of Parray Lamba and Nisha (27), wife of Harshad, both residents of Mumbai. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
