SRINAGAR: National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah today sought a special session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislature before August 29 to frame up an appropriate response to counter the narrative with regard to tampering or repealing of Article 35A of the Constitution.
The Supreme Court is likely to hear all petitions that demand scrapping of the articles be heard together on August 29.
“The issue is of vital importance for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, as abrogation of Article 35A will have serious ramifications,” Mr Abdullah, who is also the former Chief Minister of the State, said here today. (AGENCIES)
